FLORENCE 7: Today I did a cycling tour through the countryside outside of Venice, which is covered in vineyards, particularly specialising in Chianti. As I noticed just a little bit in San Gimignano, Tuscany is so beautiful, all the hype about it is definitely true!
I hadn't seen the river running like this throughout the previous week in Florence; there had been heavy rain the night before
Up the river
Fishing!
Yet another beautiful view, the colours are what I love: that blue blue sky and the greens and earthy colours
The winery we visited, to taste their particular Chianti (of which there are several varieties) and olive oil. It was so interesting seeing how they make the wine, we visited the cellars and saw the crushing machines, where the wine ferments, the olive oil vats and the casks of different wine vintages
One of the many vineyards along the way
Grapes, yum!
The long and not so winding road

The group of us that went for the tour: only 3 of us weren't in couples, and 7 out of 11 were Aussies! The one standing next to me in the white singlet holding the stubby, you can definitely tell he's Australian! From Melbourne too!
