BARCELONA 5: The last day in Barcelona was spent wandering around Port Vell, the historic port of Barcelona, looking at the markets, sitting on the beach and just generally people-watching before I caught the ferry that evening to Italy!
The Christopher Columbus monument in Port Vell
The World Trade Centre, beside it is the Torre Jaume, an interchange tower for the funicular that runs up to Montjuic.
Not fun if you're scared of heights, but the funicular was a fun way to get around Barcelona!
I love boats! This wasn't my ship but it was similar. I'm amazed at the skill of the captains in manoeuvring these huge things around a relatively small harbour without hitting anything. I can't park my Ford Laser properly, I'd have no hope with one of these!
The sunset as we were sailing out of the harbour
This was just before dawn up on deck, I got up to take a photo of the sunrise but it was less than spectacular. Nice to see the sun come up though, nonetheless
